Anela, whose name in Hawaiian means "angel", was one of five Holstein calves rescued from a closed dairy. When she and her sisters arrived at the sanctuary, they were scared and in poor health. Today, she's the biggest of her sisters and spends her days happily grazing with them in our large pastures overlooking the ocean.
