Join the Enchanted Circle
Monthly giving for the 100+ animals who call this place home, on Hawaiʻi Island's Hāmākua Coast.
The Enchanted Circle is MCS's monthly giving program. Members make animal care possible in the most reliable way we have: a monthly gift that lets us plan ahead, say yes to the next rescue call, and keep every resident fed and cared for.
One circle. No tiers. Everyone who joins is part of our community.
"Most of our members have never set foot on this land. But they're here every month — in the feed bins, in the vet bills, in the reason we can say yes when the next call comes in. That's a community. Our magical community!" — Helena Lundblad, Founder, Magical Creatures Sanctuary
What your monthly gift helps provide
Feed costs run about $35 per animal per month. Here's what different giving levels help make possible, not as ranks, but as real context for what care actually costs.
$25/month
Helps provide most of the cost of keeping the bins full for one of our 100+ residents.
$50/month
Helps provide the lion's share of care for a special-needs animal: feed, supplements, the soft bedding a special resident needs.
$100/month
Helps provide full monthly feed for two animals, or one animal's complete care, with room for the unexpected vet call or extra round of supplements.
$250/month
Helps provide feed, complete special-needs care, senior bedding and supplies, and more. The kind of stability that lets us say yes when the next rescue call comes in.
Give at any amount. There's no floor. Every gift matters.

First to know
News, milestones, and moments that matter reach you before they go anywhere else.
Surprise touches along the way
We notice our members, and sometimes we just want to say so.
And a small "thank you" from us
When you join, we'd love to send you something. Pick the one that feels right.
A sanctuary tour (virtual or in-person)
A live video call with a member of our team: a real-time walk of the sanctuary, time with the animals, the real story of what's going on. About 45–60 minutes. For you and one guest (up to 2 people). Scheduling is flexible. Members on Hawaiʻi Island are welcome to visit in person instead.
An item from the MCS shop
Your choice of a logo shirt or a Gentle Rebel mug.
A care day dedicated to someone you love
We'll designate a care day at the sanctuary in honor of someone the member names: a friend, a family member, themselves, or an animal companion they've lost. We send a simple note, and we'll put together a short video reel of the day.
A birthday or milestone e-card featuring one of our residents
Pick an animal, and we'll create a personalized digital card (a photo of that resident with a warm note) for you to send to anyone celebrating something.
Become a Founding Member
Anyone who joins the Enchanted Circle on or before November 14, 2026 becomes a Founding Member, permanently.
Founding Members are recognized on our website and in the permanent history of this circle. You'll be part of how this sanctuary came to be sustained.
As a Founding Member, we'll also invite you to a 2026–2027 sanctuary visit for you and up to three guests (up to 4 people total): in-person here on the Hāmākua Coast, or virtually via a live video walk of the sanctuary with a member of our team. We'll frame it as a gathering, a chance to be here together and see what this circle made possible. This is separate from the gift-to-choose tour — Founding Members who want both are welcome to do both.
And if you'd like one: a physical keepsake, a photo of one of our residents with their name and story on the back.
